The Museum of the Russian Presence in the Holy Land is a new interactive museum located on the territory of Mission of Saint Sergius in Jerusalem. Its purpose is to give the visitor the opportunity to get acquainted with the life of Russian pilgrims of the late XIX – early XX century, who set off on a long journey to touch the eternal shrines of Jerusalem.
The museum’s treasures contain documents from the historical archive of the historical library of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society of Israel, as well as genuine household items of pilgrims, photographs, and documents of that period.
The museum is founded, works and is continuously developed with the support of the Antonin Kapustin Foundation.
